Fort Cox College of Forestry and Agriculture

slides & text

During my 25 day stay I was kept busy mapping the nursery site, visiting with faculty, traveling to villages, interviewing healers, giving talks, and learning as much as I could about the area.

It is called Fort Cox because the British had a fort there at one time. The College is roughly 1400 hectares in size and barely has any trees. Most of the land is made up of karoo (Acacia karoo) which provides a little fodder for goats, if they get past the thorns.
