- Taiwan Forestry Research Institute -

Located in Taipei, northern Taiwan, the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute (TFRI) is a center for organizing research throughout the province. With six branch stations (Fushan, Lienhuachih, Chungpu, Liukuei, Taimalee, Hengchun) its studies concern the long-term sustainable management of the forests. The forests, by the way, cover over half the land area of Taiwan.
